Mission Control 2.17.3 is out, and the headline is a fully guided flow for moving your Supernova or Pulsar onto Binho Airlock, our new secure bootloader. If your device is still on firmware below 4.3.0, Mission Control now detects it on connect and walks you through migrating the bootloader and firmware in one confirmed step. No manual flashing, and no hunting for files.
Once a device is on Airlock (firmware 4.3.0 and later), Mission Control keeps it current automatically, downloading and applying .afx firmware updates for you.
So why update the bootloader? Airlock improves the firmware update experience and adds new ways to update firmware beyond USB mass storage, including our browser-based update utility. Under the hood it has a smaller footprint and sets the stage for a range of new device features we'll be releasing over the coming weeks.
Already running Mission Control 2? You will be prompted to auto-update the next time you launch it. New to it? Download Mission Control for Windows, macOS, and Linux from the Mission Control page.
