pyCosmicSDK v1.5.1 is here: a single, unified Python package for the Binho Supernova and Pulsar.
One package, everything in it. pyCosmicSDK brings our Python support together in one place, built directly on top of our C/C#/C++ CosmicSDK. The native library is compiled in, so there is no separate install and no ctypes glue: pip install it and go. It offers both a blocking API and an asyncio API.
Full protocol coverage. I2C, SPI, and I3C in both controller and target modes, plus UART and GPIO, with support for large bulk transfers beginning with firmware v4.5.1 and above. This means up to 32 KB transfers for I2C, I3C, and SPI on Supernova and 16 KB for I2C and SPI on Pulsar.
Your existing code keeps working. pyCosmicSDK is fully backwards-compatible with our previous Python SDKs and the popular SupernovaController library. The earlier binhosupernova, binhopulsar, and SupernovaController packages are now available inside pyCosmicSDK as compatibility shims, so all existing scripts run unchanged, with a gentle deprecation notice pointing at the new API.
Prebuilt wheels are available for Linux, macOS, and Windows on Python 3.10 through 3.14, and it requires devices running firmware 4.x. Install it from PyPI. It's also available on github.
