Mission Control 2.17.5 is out, and it keeps your latest hardware working. Supernova and Pulsar devices running firmware v4.4.0 are now recognized as fully compatible and connect with full protocol support. Previously, a device on v4.4.0 would connect only in a limited, degraded mode with a prompt to downgrade, requiring users to utilize Mission Control 3 when working with upgraded devices.
Mission Control now also recognizes future 4.x firmware releases as supported, so newer devices keep connecting and working with a soft compatibility notice instead of dropping into degraded mode. For reference, this release is fully compatible with the Supernova and Pulsar on firmware v4.2.2, v4.3.x, and v4.4.x, and with the Nova on v0.2.8. See the Firmware Releases page for details.
Mission Control 2 will continue to work with your Supernova, Pulsar, and Nova adapters, but active development has moved to Mission Control 3, where all new capabilities now land. MC3 is the next generation of Mission Control: a modern, actively developed platform for interacting with, testing, and debugging your devices across many protocols, including I2C, SPI, I3C, and GPIO. It’s growing quickly, with new capabilities landing all the time. The best way to see what it can do is to open it and explore.
Open Mission Control 3 in your browser, or download the desktop app for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Already running Mission Control 2? You will be prompted to auto-update the next time you launch it.
Thank you for being part of the Mission Control 2 journey.
